Webstatic Crises

Some of you may have heard and some of you may have arrived here following yesterdays Crises at webstatic webhost-monitor.com/support/. Basically what has happened is the company has folded. As a webstatic customer myself this is a crises for me too! I have another server account in addition to the current one with webstatic and am migrating my accounts over, if any other webstatic customers need this done I’ll do this for them, we can talk about billing etc. in 2 – 3 months when we’ve managed to get all this mess sorted out, I’ve set up an emergency page at redfurredbear.com/uwebstatic.php.

Folding companies are terrible, there's a huge thread about the Jatol hosting company that folded.

I have started a support page and I'm currently talking to domain name supplier, hopefully we'll be able to cut a deal to get the domains released, things are starting to look up, but kevin is totally uncontactable

That's better than Jatol, they shut entirely down and didn't give anyone a chance or a place to go. All of the phone lines, sites, and everything is down there.

Did you manage to get your files off the servers before they went down?

Unhappy

I've also got a site hoted with them and I am totally at a loss as to how to keep my domain. Does anyone know what can be done?

The clock is ticking. I wonder if all of their customers have seen the site and realized that there's a problem. I'd hate for everything to go down, and people be stranded in the water.
