DNS newbie
I just got a dedicated server from leaseweb but I have questions regarding DNS.
I plan on running various domains on the server using Apache, and I don't know how to setup DNS on the registrar. The first thing I did is that creating reverse and forward entries for ns1 and ns2.mydomain.com and then I went to godaddy cp and tried to transfer DNS of that domain to my own dns server but it gives me errors.
Is this because I have to wait for the dns to propagate or am I doing it wrong?

All you need to do is register the nameservers ns1 and ns2 with your register, then assign them IPs on the server and setup the DNS entries in BIND/Named.

That's a problem with the registrar. Contact them or just keep trying to register.

You can only create nameserver objects in the registry via the domain's registrar. An error 531 is an authorization error: you're trying to do something for which you have no authority.
Is the name at Go Daddy or at namecheap? You'll never succeed at creating nameservers at namecheap if the domain's registrar of record is GD.
