Protecting a single file with a password

I have a single file on my machine that contains sensitive information. I'd rather not translate that information into a program like KeepPass or Password Safe. Is there a simple way to password protect or keep safe a single file on my system? Vista Ultimate x64.

Why don't you hide the file?

A hidden file can be made easily viewable. I hadn't thought of using WinZip, but I'll give it a shot .

I'v heard good things about Mooseoft Encrypter, and it's free - you may want to give that a shot.
