Question One Account On Server Can't Receive Email's but Can Send "Out"

    Hi,

I own a dedicated server, and I have one person on the server that can send emails, but for some reason cannot receive them.

It's only this one account that's facing this issue, so I'm not sure if it's something on the server or their account?

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

Have you sent an email to the account in question then tailed the Exim mail logs to see what's going on?

    tail -f /var/log/exim_mainlog

I'll be sure to try that when I return to my desk.

Also check to see if the domain is in /etc/localhosts

    Yeah sorry.
But I had this problem before on 2 servers, just randomly someones mail not working, I googled the error on the email and turned out thats what it was.

And a few months later that same domain magically came off that list again and had to be re added. Since then just a few random domains dont get added to it on account creation in cpanel.

Yeah, I've seen the same thing a few times with cPanel 11...

    Automated Fix:
    /scripts/updateuserdomains

You could always just add that to a cron job if it's happening frequently.
