Dedicated Server

Hello All:

I am new to this site... and am looking for information.

I'm sure a lot of you have recommendations... and I would love to hear them.

Basic Req's:
- MANAGED Dedicated Server
- WHM / cPanel / Fantastico / RVSkins... etc etc.
- Round Cube webmail
- $200 monthly budget
- MUST BE RELIABLE
- No Spam
- Decent response time for tech support

Current sites are very low traffic
- servers are primilary used for email

I have no answer for Syndi because I am basically looking for the same thing:

- Managed dedicated server
- WHM / cPanel
- $150 to $200 / month

If possible, I'd like a supplier that offers end-user support, and I will pay extra for that service.

Any recommendations?

Did you check the advertising forums for dedicated offers? There are plenty you can choose from.

Based on your budget and hosting requirements it shouldn't be hard for you to find a managed hosting solution that meets your needs. I can safely say that any number of hosting providers will be able to accommodate your request.

Hosting require seems not allow here,I would suggest you take a look at offer forums too.
Softlayer + PSM would be a good choice for managed hosting.

Another thing that would help, what would you like the hosting company do when it comes to managed service? Is it something like updating the security patch, securing the box and so on?

What type of hardware are you both looking for?

Dedicated Server

(Answering several questions at once)

----

Thanks - I will checkout the "advertising forums".

----

I need a server located in the US.

----

I spoke with Softlayer, The Planet, Rackspace, and ServerBeach... apparently none of them offer "managed accounts"... unless there was a mis-understanding in my questions. They are more than willing to sell you a "self-managed account" though.

----

Here's a little more info:

- have been using "reseller (shared) accounts" for the past 6 years.

- 12 domains. 6 for websites + 6 for email. Internal decision to follow the 6+6 route. May move 200+ non-critical (low traffic) domains onto the server.

- Primary usage is for email... 60 megs (low) daily usage. Very little web traffic.

- Current setup: (typical setup) whm/cpanel/rvskin/fantasico/spamassasin.

- RoundCube webmail.

- must be reliable / must have decent speed... a bit fed up with lack of quality... understand that "you get what you pay for"... willing to pay more - to get more.

- need a better spam solution.

As far as "server management"
- all I want to do is manage the email addresses (cpanel) and accounts (whm).
- server hardening, patches, etc are to be performed by the host.

A medium sized VPS might be a real nice cost effective solution for you. It appears that you have pretty low traffic and your hardware resource needs aren't to bad at all. Take a look at some of the advertising forums here for VPS offers or contact a few hosts that offer them. With a VPS you could then migrate up to a larger account seemlessly. Be aware with a VPS that you want something that can have full root access and has its own kernel. You don't want a VPS based on shared resources.

You may try to get unmanaged box, then go with 3rd management
PSM would be nice management company for cPanel/WHM servers.

Regards!

Rather odd... there appears to be missing messages in this thread.

I clearly remember seeing a response - and it no longer exists.

Does Admin delete / remove responses ?

Anyways... still have not found a company who provide the requested services.

Day 2 of our server bouncing up and down.

Sydni,

It can be frustrating finding a new host but keep at it. Hosts on this forum aren't allowed to solicit you in posts, other than the advertising forums. I still think a managed VPS might be a great solution for you and lower your overall costs.
