How to start with unmanaged VPS?
Hello,
Of course Unmanaged is much cheaper than full managed and I decided to try with unmanaged plan.
Can you guys tell me what should I do to run my vps? what do I have to install or somekinds of that?
Thanks in advance.

What control panel does the VPS have? Are you planning to use the VPS, for eg. like, a dedicated mail server only?

If it's unmanaged, pretty much you need to do all by yourself...
what's like your budget on this?

do I have to install webmin, mysql,... by myself?
You could run both at the same time but they would overlap in some areas. If you will be running only 1-2 websites you could use Webmin only. Webmin is a bit more difficult to use than DirectAdmin though so depending on your skill level, DirectAdmin may be the better choice. It also depends on what else you want besides hosting your site like Mail/DNS. Setting up Mail and DNS in Webmin is more difficult than in DirectAdmin where you would just click a few buttons.
I hope I didn't confuse you even more...yes you have to do it all yourself but ask your provider for assistance when you're stuck.:•: iMountain.com Solar Powered Hosting - Same location for 20 years

You realize their offer is for $36.00 not $18.00, the 18 is in british pounds.
Not sure if you knew that.
DirectAdmin is a great choice and is what we recommend, it is very stable and well performing for less resource usage than any other enterprise panel.
good luck..
