Thread Summary Please be aware that every offer has limits beyond what is displayed in the thread. You should visit the site advertising and read any Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy they have in place. If you can't find answers on how they measure what you're purchasing, ask. If the offer or request doesn't regard some type of hosting, you still need to research beyond what’s printed in the ad.
  • Research any provider to know what limits are in place, especially with any offer concerning disk space and/or bandwidth. These are generally defined in the TOS or AUP.
  • Read provider reviews. If you find no reviews, create a thread and ask for others' first-hand experience with the provider.
  • If you're unsure on the exact details of an offer - ask. Simply respond to this thread and ask the provider for clarification.

I used CentOS for umm bout 12 months I believe, didn't go to far with it but I started with that free control panel (forget the name that was 2yrs or so ago)

Now I use Debian/Freebsd (for db's) I don't have super great bash skills I don't know things I dont need to know and if I need to know em I learn it.

I setup servers for websites, cpanel setup tuned was a load of 20-35 after I switched the httpd, compiled mysql, etc I got it to below 1point with 150req/s.

Not sure what your need is exactly.

I would be interested in joining your team. I have been using Linux as both my main home operating system and as a sysadmin for a hosting company I operated for a good few years. Being a geek I have used pretty much every major distribution out there at some point, so am familiar enough with the differences in package management/configuration etc.

My cell is always on, and 99% of the time I am on MSN and AIM. Referral can be given in the form of past clients if required.

However, I am located in the United Kingdom, not the USA.
