I just finished my first real website and I'm starting to think about SEO. Checking my logs I see that a googlebot indexed my site on August 8th (right in the middle of some failed design experiments... ugh).
I know that it will take awhile before my chosen keywords filter into the top X pages. But two days ago a search for "empty nest games" found my site on the bottom of page two! Then yesterday the same search returned my site in the very FIRST position.
Today, a search for "empty nest games" turns up a hit on page 6... but it's for a review page within my website. Not the index page.
Why is my site jumping around so much? The googlebot hasn't been back to my site since August 8th...
