    HostRocket Design

This is none of my business, but I noticed that on Host Rocket's site, at http://hostrocket.com/corporate/center.htm , on the bottom it says
Copyright © 2001 HostRocket.com. All rights are reserved. Site developed by ceonex, inc.
But on the main page it says
Copyright © 2001 HostRocket.com. All rights are reserved. Site developed by PixelBrick.com
I'm assuiming that PixelBrick built their whole site. I don't know why it says ceonex on that page...

From what I can tell, PixelBrick is simply a brand extension of Ceonex.

    Take a look at http://www.ceonex.com/about/history3.htm:
    - 2001, Q3, Establishes new product brand "PixelBrick.com"

    And at http://www.pixelbrick.com/company/vision.htm:
    - Q3, 2001: CEONEX, INC. updates its online brand identity from its previous website VFXUSA.com by launching its new brand and website PIXELBRICK.com

I didn't notice that. However, why would they put two different "designed by" tags?

I'm sure it was just an oversight. Didn't HostRocket put up their new design around Q3 2001? Perhaps they contracted the work with Ceonex before PixelBrick even existed, so the early version of the design contained the Ceonex copyright and they just forgot to change the name on that page when Ceonex launched PixelBrick.

Or maybe they left it there intentionally to confuse people like iamdave.

    Hello,
First of all Ceonex is Pixel Brick and Pixel Brick is Ceonex. Pixel Brick opened a site dedicated to consulting and they put Ceonex on it. I talk to the gain at Pixel Brick so that is why i know!

Even after Eric pointed out that Ceonex opened PixelBrick you still said the opposite. But I guess the "gain" at PixelBrick tells you otherwise.

Im pretty sure that Ceonex is a new name for their old consulting company, and that PixelBrick is the name of the design company. So while the company name Ceonex is newer than that of PixelBrick, the actual company Ceonex has been around longer than PixelBrick operating under a different name... that make sense? Tim is correct in that the brand Ceonex is newer than PixelBrick.

But it doesn't make sense that on the ceonex site, they would say that:
    2001, Q3, Establishes new product brand "PixelBrick.com"

Yes it does, they changed the name of their consulting company as well as what they do I believe, from VFX to Ceonex, and updated the company history along with it.

So..Let me recap as I understand it:

    PixelBrick is iamdave

Ceonex has gained something but I am not quite sure what.

iamdave gets paid 45K a year.

Well I think that clears all that up nicely.

How did you come to that conclusion?

It wouldn't make much sense of iamdave being the owner of PixelBrick yet posting this about his own (?) company:

I'm assuiming that PixelBrick built their whole site. I don't know why it says ceonex on that page...
iamdave is not PixelBrick. Coenex was formally VFX, and PixelBrick is a brand established by Coenex. The development of the HostRocket website came to a total of around 45K.

If I was PixelBrick's owner I would probably make 45K a month not a year, and I wouldn't post here as often as I do. HINT: If PixelBrick wants a new owner, I'm free!
