    Clever Hacker Solution

    http://www.pcworld.com/news/article/0,aid,102881,00.asp

Very very clever - 2 head on the hd, one read/write connected to a secure machine (do those exist?) and the read only connected to the web machine

Sounds expensive, but its a very clever idea

So how are users suppose to update their pages and write to their own file? How is a hard drive identify what is a hacker?

I believe this hard drive is created for server who only host sites and let only administrators write to the hard disk. Not for virtual hosts.

I dont think its meant for hosting but for companies who need real security for static content its a solution. I also think you misunderstood what it is "How is a hard drive identify what is a hacker? "

There are 2 connectors - one to the web server. The web server connector is physically read only
the other connector is a read/write which (SHOULD BE or it will have no purpose) is connected to a secure pc that is not connected to the internet
