You are right and wrong about the main site and the tertiaries. The main site usually commands the highest impression/click revenue. However, the obvious exception would be forums that start at a main Portal page. In this case, the forum is the tertiary site but in reality it's probably the main area your viewers go to.
A beefy and busy forum would command a high price-tag for advertising.

Reasonable price range please. Let's assume that the advertisers will have exclusive access to approximately 35000 people.
I don't want to get really hung up on main vs tertiary site. I'm just trying to get a feel for how much you can charge for a site heavily visited vs a site not so heavily visited on the same domain; but I put it in terms of main vs tertiary because the example is easier to follow.

I think with a 35,000 user reach, your prices have to be on the low side of things. Unless you have a targetted industry and your advertisers are from the same industry.
Maybe $1 for CPM and about $.10 PPC

Thanks, what is CPM and PPC? Is PPC price per click?
Your insight is great, I am looking to target a specific industry so all the advertisers are from the same industry so to speak. Base on this information what would be a reasonable CPM and PPC?

Ok, CPM is cost per month and PPC is price per click.
With these numbers, it doesn't look like a strong selling point to advertise at the site.

Hi,
To get the figure of charges you should impose on advertiser it is necessary you should analyse your website first and then accordingly decide the charges it deserve.
