Interesting concept. Just to makre sure I got it right with the tFlux 1 option I can use your servers to download/upload torrents at higher than normal speeds, then download them to my own computer via FTP, theoretically maxing out my cnnnection.
What kind of download speed can I expect from your FTP server? I'm looking for 500kb/s since that's the speed at which my DSL maxes out.
Interesting concept if done right, I might sign up to try it out.

That is correct, our servers download the torrent, then you would download it from our servers...You would be able to max out your DSL/Cable connection.
A good benefit of this service is not having to have your computer powered on for an extended period of time. Just for an example, a torrent where there would be very few seeds (sometimes just 1) and lots of peers, making that seed take longer to produce other seeds because of all the peers. In this case, the torrent would be running on our servers, 24/7, rather than having to leave your computer powered on. This also helps the torrent receive new seeds faster, because the torrent can upload to other peers faster than a normal connection...

Isnt this a little expensive ? I would like to buy one but it seems a lot more trouble than its worth...
For the extra speed im paying the price of a upgraded adsl solution?

It's borderline critical to say prices are too high and could be cheaper, but considering this is a niche market he can raise the prices to whatever he wishes.
The the OP however, I recommend changing your prices so they are competitive *now* so you can retain your customer base when others arise.

considering how cheap bandwidth and space is to rent in some countries we are really only discussing the cpu load and downloading a torrent can hardly be cpu intensive...
if anyone else could offer this service at a yearly price of around 50 then ...
