    Has Google banned .co.cc?

I have heard rumours lately that Google have banned .co.cc domains.
I have also noticed that when, on the odd occasion, I use a .co.cc domain, it's never on Google.

I was wondering if these rumours are true?
And if they are, why have they been banned?
As I can't see anything they've done wrong to be honest.

Google deindexed co.cc as it has malicious sites and low quality sites, there may be having some more reasons for deindex of co.cc domains.

Why use .co.cc domains if .co is available?

In line with the topic. hmmm, I guess it's not true. It's the same as what people think about .info before. They thought that .info domains are garbage and no way to get PR but it was definitely not true.

Yes Google banned Co.cc domains because most of the co.cc sites are spam sites. In china Co.cc domains offered in cheap price so most of the people register their domains co.cc and involved in phishing activity.

Because co.cc is free and .co costs up to $20-$30. Free domains and cheap domains (.info @ $2 on sale) attract spammers.

As I said in another topic, there is no such thing as a .cz.cc or .co.cc domain. This is a SUBdomain, very big difference. There are hundreds of providers providing free subdomains out there. A few examples (of the hundreds available):

    .be.tf
    .gs.ac
    .us.tt
    .de.vu
    .da.ru
    .us.pn
    .us.tc
    .nl.nu
    .new.fr
    .co.tv
    .co.cc
    .uni.cc
    .by.com
    .co.nr
    .de.ms
    .co.be
    ...

    the list is endless.

These are NOT real domains, they are people owning a domain and giving you free subdomains. They are NOT reliable, because the moment the domain owner stops providing subdomains, your URL is gone too.

These days, a real domain is cheaper than a burger in your local fastfood chain. It's not worth relying on these subdomain providers.

Some are banned for spamming or being used for illegal content (for example .da.ru, while not banned yet, has a very bad reputation) and others, while functioning, may not show up in Google because they are only redirections that hide the real URL.
