Pagerank of 7 but low visits, looking for your suggestions.
One of my sites has a pagerank of 7 but gets very little traffic (Alexa ranking it around 2 million+) I've been reading on pagerank and even had dnscoop.com estimate the value at $84 000 if I were to sell it.
A friend of mine couldn't believe I wasn't profiting from this (I have no ads) and there's a lot of images and very little text, he suggested I add more keywords on my site and that could help drive more traffic to it.
According to a few articles if you change the site your Page Rank could decrease or improve, maybe I'm totally uninformed about how the system works but I know the basics, the more votes (links) you get from high ranking sites (with lower ones too) will get you highly ranked.
My hosting business could benefit from this but I want to get your opinions on this before I modify the site.
Thanks in advance!

Billy, PR is all in the Back Links*. Modify away!
* (Restructing your site and renaming files/folders could cause you to lose links to those pages, so leave the structure/file names the same, content can be changed)

I'm not sure how someone could achieve a 7 pagerank with a low traffic count. I always figured they went hand in hand.

Thank you guys, I'm editing the site and adding more text so that the search engines pick it up. Correct me if I'm wrong but the more times a specific keyword is found on a page (with high pagerank) the more chances it has to be in the first few pages of results ?
That poor friend of mine has been telling me for like a year but I had no idea what a Pagerank of 7 was

Hold on!
That's true only in part, as too many keywords might even hurt you.
SEO is a difficult and complicated world even for experts.
Hire someone or study the matter and the subject in depth before making mistakes that could cost you dearly.
But anyway, obviously you got plenty of good links, these should, if they're under your control, include the keywords you want to rank for in the anchor.
Just that should do a lot already.
Try to mix them up a little, so it's not always the same text.
There's a lot more to this but a post is not enough....

How many inbound links does your site have, according to Google?

Yes I've been reading on that, the crawler might think I'm trying to cheat... I guess hiring an expert might be a good idea in this case. Don't want to risk my PR7

250 some last I checked, does it make any sense ?
I noticed sites with a lot more inbound links are ranked lower than mine, I guess they got a lot of links for lower ranked sites but not so much from highly ranked ones.
I also noticed an other domain of mine redirecting to the same site has an PR7 rating also, not sure if it's because of the original site or because it has inbound links of its own (it has 100+ according to my research).

Yes, a PR7 is a big asset, but only if you are selling links from it.
Otherwise, not so good.
It would be more useful to you to rank high for the keywords of your interest.
Still, it's a remarkable result to achieve such a high PR without knowing much of SEO.
Usually the two have a parallel life.
Congrats!

I would not worry about your PR or traffic and just create good content.
Create content that is new and interesting. Write in a way that incorporates keywords but does not take away from how well it reads.
Any SEO you speak with will tell you content is king.

Selling links to take advantage of the PR system could penalize me right ? According to DNScoop I can make $450 US per mo for 8 links on my site.

Selling links could turn your back links to reciprocal links.
Back link: someone linking to you.
Reciprocal link: you link to each other.

It might damage your PR, but after all, what do you need it for?
That's the main use of PR.
Instead, if done in a reasonable and SEO friendly way, it won't damage your rankings.
Good luck mate!
