Between Exa-bytes and Matrixreseller and ...

    All,

    Need you advices here...

I am after a Windows Reseller Account, after a deep search in this forum , I limited myself (till now) to Exa-bytes and matrixreseller... Although both companies are great, and no big difference in the Price in their starter plan, I am still hesitating between them for the following reasons:

    Exa bytes:
    - Bandwidth is Really too low (5 GIG)
    - Price of MS SQL DB is high ($15 / month / DB)

    MatrixReseller:
    - You get only 10 Free Control Panels for 10 clients (although each control panel can handle multiple domains)
    - ColdFusion Support price is High (1 Free + $10 /month/ domain)

On the other hand, MatrixReseller is very generous regarding BW and Initial DB Space, while Exa bytes provides support for cold fusion for free and no extra Fees for Control Panels...

Seems that I will not be able to provide either MS SQL or Cold fusion at reasonable price ....What is your feedback regarding this ?

    Thanks in advance

im using www.weberz.com for hosting, and ITS THE BEST!! Ever since the 1st day the support has been the best! If i need ANYTHING i just ask and they will have it A.S.A.P. I went from a host that i thought was the best until i switched over, and i cant begin to tell you how much www.weberz.com is better. If you need to ask me any questions about them you can contact me and ill tell you they are the best!

Xmmm, same price more features and bandwidth! I'm in a search for a Windows reseller also, and I've found this company: www.matrixreseller.com They say they are very good! Take a look!

i used centralizedhosting.com before. After switching i noticed that weberz.com was a way more professional host because my host before didnt have nearly as much control over my site. And my other host didnt allow sub domains and extra domains, and the control panel SUCKED, but weberz has everything in the control panel that anyone would need. Also i think weberz has the cheapest reselling pakages! I was also thinking about buying the reselling pakage for like $35 a month to get some extra cash

Our Toll Free Number seems to be acting wierd right now and should be functioning again by Tuesday (or at least that is what they are telling me)

If you have any questions please direct them to tracy@weberz.com and I will answer them for you.

    Thanks.

    Tracy of www.weberz.com,
Your website said "100% uptime guarantee", how do you measure that? Sorry, but I don't think any hosting company can keep up with that kind of uptime.

Being in a process of choosing a Windows reseller myself... I still have a question... Why pay $35 for 1GB and 18GB traffic, when you can pay the same money for exactly the same things except traffic which in matrixreseller is 25 GB ? And the Brandable Enduser Control Panel is HSPhere guys! Search, search, search you give your money and you deserve the best!

It would be the same if I offered 99% or 99.9% like most hosts.

Keep in mind that it is network uptime that we are talking about here. If you click on the uptime image on the front page, you can get the details there.

I locate my servers at Inflow in their Nashville, TN datacenter. They have had 100% uptime for four years, so in reality it is not an issue.

As with most SLA's there are some gotcha's talking about server failure (as everyone cringes) or acts of god and scheduled maintanance times, etc.

I got so tired of seeing 99.9% uptimes on hosts sites, but when you go to the site there is nothing but an image with nothing posted to back it up, so I decided to put my money where my mouth is so to speak

I want to provide the best possible service with no bull.

It all boils down to this. If you are not satisfied with the services I offer I will refund your month of usage that you have paid for. Plain and simple.

I think I am starting to ramble again.

I hope I answered your question reasonably enough.

If you would like to discuss this issue or any issue for that matter I would welcome you to email me at tracy@weberz.com.

Since this is your very first post on WHT. I would like to welcome you aboard and hope to hear more from you in the futre.

You are right, Matrix Reseller seems to be a reputable company. You can search for Vortech on the Psoft forums and see that they seem reasonably knowledgeable and on the up and up.

If someone goes with them, I would imagine that they would be reasonably happy with them.

I am not going to knock someone elses business as I have personally not heard any complaints about them.

    Hi Tracy,

Just wanted to know is ASP.NET supported? or any plans to support if not supported currently.
As many ppl say they cannot find ASP books/references now, but only ASP.NET.

    And what about JSP?

    Thanks

    mk124,

yes ASP.NET is supported on Windows.

Microsoft released a referance implimentation for FreeBSD, but it is not for commercial usage if I remember correctly, it is also not supported by Psoft and therefore will not be added to the FreeBSD boxes until it is supported by them.

JSP is not supported but Psoft has dropped a few hints about it, so it is in wait and see status.

    Hope this helps.

www.weberz.com does support ASP.NET, along with ASP (classic), PHP, PERL, CGI, and like anything else you need. The best thing about weberz is that if you need anything all you have to do is ask and its installed. I asked for a few extra components to be installed for asp and they where installed like a few hours laterz. I must say, its the best support ive ever seen in a host.

Actually Tracy, I sent my mail to matrix, but they gave me the same answer. No. Ok you can't have everything. My question is where am I going to host my coming in two months site which will need RDS. Maybe I should make a new post when I'm ready!

    Aquamarina,

No problem. You just had me thinking I had my support desk mis configured, so I kept sending myself test emails :-)

If there is anything that I can help out with just let me know. Like I have said before you can email me at tracy@weberz.com if you wish (Much faster than PM's).

I hope to hear from you soon.

If you get to point of haviing a Dedicated machine at matrix,
They will prolly add the RDS feature u require then. However they can't do it to Shared machines!

Sometimes to get all the fetures you need. A dedicated is best option!!!

The point is that RDS will be needed only for one site... with need for unlimited traffic and space also. This will definetely need a dedicated server and 100% uptime and support! We'll see what the best solution will be at that time...

I also need windows hosting and I am going with martixreseller.

great thing is that you can sell both windows and linux on one reseller account.

    and h-sphere looks nice.

    going to be moving mid-month
