Hi,

I am looking for a server in indonesia. To host few of my tomcat applications.

Cost should be some where around 200$/month. I am concerned about the speed of the server.

Could someone recommend a provider in indonesia.

I've not seen any advert from Indonesia over here but having a server in Malaysia or Singapore would be one of the best alternatives though.

if your website's main target is only Indonesian then its OK to use Indonesian Datacenter as you'll get unmetered shared 100Mbps connection. but for international connection it will be sucks..

what is your server spec requirements?

Yes, I am planning to concentrate only on indonesia, no international connections.

I am unsure about the specs though for time being. Just searching for a reliable server in indonesia. I need a fast and reliable server. If Someone can recommend a provider, I will go through the specs and pick a good one that would best suit my need.

renting dedicated server in Indonesia will cost you more than USD 200 per month for a medium server.

i never code using tomcat, but what i heard it will need big CPU power

I hope you cant get transfer quotas like US servers, in ID servers.

I have seen some M'sian offers, But never a I'sian offer on WHT.

for example I'll give you the URL of my University: http://www.ukdw.ac.id or an Indonesian news portal: http://www.detik.com both are hosted at IIX and listed at Google, try search with 'ukdw' and 'detik' keyword, on my search result both are on the 1st list.

for kavithav1, you can try to access these two website to have the feel of International connection of server in Indonesia.

transfer quotas? all Indonesian DC are offering unmetered bandwidth or unmetered data transfer. but yes, the international bandwidth is very very small.

hehe detik.com take big international BW dude, if you get from gsd or dhecyber all the international BW very low. we have the server at both DC
So i will not recommend the customer take the Indonesia's Server

Are you located in big city like Jakarta or Surabaya? If so, another way to do this is try contacting CBN.NET.ID or RAD.NET.ID or other local ISPs and ask them if they allow you to host your machine. I hope you found one that will. It maybe cheaper that way.

masterwebnet.com is one of the biggest hosting company in Indonesia, based on webhosting.info rank. they are well known webhosting company in Indonesia.

I'm located in Jakarta Indonesia. You can look at their website, they put the price list for co-location there.
