Can someone please forward me to an extensive, easy to use (beginner) security guideline for Windows 2003 Server? Thank you.

Windows 2003 Standard Security
I have a dedicated server running Win 2003 Standard on which I run my Radio Station. The server hosts my shows, 2 SAM Broadcaster playout systems, Filezilla ftp and 8 Shoutcast streams..
Sadly, I know little about servers and even less about security.. Can anyone advise if I need Antivirus Software and if so, can you recommend a solution which is inexpensive and light on resources please..
Many thanks..
btw I tried to start a new thread but the system wouldn't allow me to..

If it is a closed server running anti-virus would be a silly waste of resources. This is presuming that you and everyone else who logs in using terminal services can avoid the temptation to use the browser.
You would need to scan all executables you upload in advance.
If all files on a server are clean, and no new files are introduced, then anti-virus is an absolute waste of time and cpu resources.
This is especially true if you are streaming. Anti-virus plays havoc with the job of serving files because it wants to get in the way and inspect every file as it is being accessed. Of course, this is happening while the user is patiently waiting for the download to start.

Thanks for the prompt reply..
Sadly, in addition to the shows uploaded by ftp, I have to use the browser to receive files by download link. I am the only person who has access to the server and so far, seem to have managed for 12 months without any infections..
All my files come from known sources but, of course, there is no guarantee that the sender's computer hasn't been compromised without the user knowing..
Its a difficult one, and to make things worse, I have no means of backing my server up..

You'ed have to barking mad to run a server without some form of antiviral protection.
