Try exchange links with other webmasters. This will help improve your pagerank(no guarantee)

Submit to high PR directories.
Buy links from high PR site.
Sneak you site into edu domains.

But do it quick as the new PR update is around the corner - end of the month I guess.

A agree with Alex, the best way to increase your sites pagerank is to get your sites link on other websites with high PR's. Consider buying text links, posting your link when appropriate, and using other websites like digg.

ras0ir is absolutely right, templates is a great way. Design some great ones, post them on www.oswd.org, www.openwebdesign.org and the pagerank will increase.

You can also craft informative articles and post them on free sites like ezinearticles dot com. You get to include a short bio with links (up to three) and they often get picked up by other sites. Consequently, one article can gain you several inbound links.

I would prefer get your site done in great flow and clear understanding rather than having high PR. PR does not make any sense in business.

Sure it does. If you're selling advertising on your site, one of the primary factors a prospect looks at is your PageRank.

If you're looking to get some good rankings in Google, PageRank plays a large roll.

For anybody who is interested, last month I wrote a guest post on Jane May's blog, DailyWebIdeas.com, titled "7 Ways to Increase Your PageRank". http://www.dailywebideas.com/7-ways-...your-pagerank/
