Is it me or is www.fasthosts.co.uk down ?

They are a big provider and i would not expect it from them.

I can't see open the site www.fasthosts.co.uk and domains I have are down also.

Looks like the whole fasthosts network is down !
This should bring in some new customer to other hosts

They reckon they host around 500,000 websites so all must be down.

Does anyone have any idea what the problem is exactly? Has anyone extracted an estimate for recovery?

I gave up on the phone after waiting 30 minutes.

www.fasthosts.co.uk is up but the few domains I have with them are down. http://control.fasthosts.co.uk does not work so can't login to support. They boast 1 million web sites hosted so it's no wonder the phone support is saturated.

Someone here got through..... worthless.

Their front line support had no idea what the problem was, abd had no ETA or idea when recovery would occur. They told us that they "had not been told".

The guy said some of his support services were coming back slowly, but that is all he knew.

Looks like things are starting to come back online, most of my sites are back now.

Yes, ditto.

They gave us an email address: escalations@fasthosts.co.uk to raise underlying issues on with respect to support... such as why they didn't update their front page with at least some info on this after even 4 hours outage.

I think that was very poor. Can you imagine the likes of Servint not giving anything at all after that length of time?
