1 - Their domain was registered on May 17th, so they are unestablished.

2 - They show a verisign symbol on their page, but it does not link to a validation page, which may be an oversight, or may be an outright lie.

That looks unprofessional, if a page is not ready you do not link it.

I sent a mail with all these questions above..
    and I've got a response..
    "we are rebuilding our site
We used to be called PlanetDigita, but everyone got the name wrong so we changed it to Weberz.
We also own SSL4Less (this is how most people know us)...." etc

Tracy @ weberz is an upstanding guy. I'm probably a bit biased since we've been friends for a while, but the guy really knows his shiz. He's the guy I call when I have one of those pesky, no one can figure it out Linux problems. I also know they've been working non-stop on their website, and I think it's looking pretty spiffy.
In addition, I know they have done something most people don't do, and that is lay out the cash up front for nix AND windoze hosting.

This puzzles me, though Stajua. Could you clarify?

You are correct, it is a new domain.

For the record our payment services are thru VeriSign PayFlow Pro, but will be switching to Authorize.Net in a couple of days anyway so the VeriSign logo has been taken down so as to not create any confusion.

We are working feverishly on the support section. I have one for Plesk but we have since moved to HSphere and this is requiring new support pages.

    Thanks for the input.

I'll have to vouch for Tracy (Weberz) as well.

In that past few months I've gotten to know him pretty well via email and AIM conversations, talking about FreeBSD, Windows, HSphere quite a bit, etc. I've also bought a couple SSL certificates from www.ssl4less.com which is operated by Weberz as well. I always recommend Tracy for SSL certs when people ask.

My point: If Tracy is operating Weberz, which he is, then it will be good quality. You can absolutely count on that.

I had some conversations with Tracy, and he was so Helpfull and Professional... I know that weberz is new, but I don't think this is a big issue, as they were in the Internet Business years ago ...

I am about to sign with them!

You will do no better than putting your trust in Weberz.

Like some others here, I have been dealing with Tracy for the past 2 years. He has more experience than anyone I know, and I know for a fact that Weberz has been in the planning stages for over 6 months. This is no fly by night operation, this is the real deal.

Anyone who has any doubts, do a search on this forum for SSL4LESS and read the comments from his existing satisied clients. You will not find one bad word about him or his business, something that is very rare these days.

It sh*ts me to the back teeth when I read the sorts of Ill-informed attacks which make up the start of this thread. Do some research before you attack. Contact Weberz and ask them some questions yourself, make up your own mind.

I will vouch for Tracy too. He has always been a big help with questions that I have had, and most didn't have anything to do with the services that he offers. You can't go wrong with his $89 secure certs either.

Looking at weberz and noticing some inconsistencies...

On http://www.weberz.com/colocation/ the premium bandwidth is more than the regular bandwidth pricing. (I'm guessing the regular bandwidth is not multi-homed, likely Cogent.) There are two prices listed for rack + bandwidth prices. For example, in one place, half rack plus 10Mbps is $2,000, right below, it's $750.

Not complaining, as I figure the site's still under development. Just looking for clarification. Also, where is this place located?

    Thanks,

    Brian

    Brian S,

Thanks. The $750 is just for rackspace with no bandwidth. I appreciate you noticing that. I have tried to proof read the site but I guess that I have worked on it so long that everything looks ok to me.

If you have 1U you would like to colo I have space for it right now at Inflow in Nashville, otherwise it would have to go to LayerOne in Miami.

    Thanks again,

I really need to revise my business plan... But what I'm currently proposing to need is either a dedicated at a reasonable rate, or I put a colo in the facility. Right now, I need Cogent, and I'm looking for ~$100 per 1mbps. My entire budget for this proposal woud be no more than $200/mo. That includes any costs for a server (be it mine or yours), ~1/Mbps Bandwidth, Rack and IP fees. I would like to be able to share my bandwidth allotment among more than one server, should I buy more in the future. I also would perfer a provider with Cogent and Muti-Homed in the same facility, giving me the ability to have premo bandwidth in the same facility should I need it.

Basically, I'm looking for a place that will allow me to host for cheap now (near RackShack pricing), but will allow me to upgrade exisiting or new servers with a minimum of fuss. I want my cake, and I really want to eat it too.

    Thanks for your time,

    Brian
