I am looking a shared hosting web server which is not costly and around $4-$5 per month because only need to host 5 pages and some flash videos.

Anyone can suggest anyone with good track record.

Site5 is overloaded server and now support also not good.

Hostgator is little costly may be service is good.

Anyone tried power360.com , looks like a from the house of powervps.com

have you looked in the web hosting offers section?

what are your disk space, bandwidth requirements etc?

there are good hosts that can do $4-$5 /month but it depends on your requirements.

Be careful! I started out with cheap hosting and I got burned many times. I finally started a small development company and started my own hosting.

Do a reality check:
1. Are you providing a service to a business? if so, they expect the site to be available whenever they need it.

2. Will you be using the email server also? If the server goes down, your email will bounce and not be received.

If this is a personal site and downtime is not a concern, look anywhere.

Agreed, if this is a personal site, then you can just take a look around and find a few hosts to your choosing. However, if this is for a business, where uptime is very important, choose wisely.

Also, one thing you may want to look into is if the hosts allow video streaming.

$5 for a quality hosting plan is quite hard to find. I think your best bet would be to look for a long-term plan with a reputable host. Long-term might be able to bring you into the $5 range.

Thanks guys for replies. This is a personal site and required only 50 MB webspace and around 1-2 GB bandwidth.

And i will host a flash videos which will be downloaded from the server in the viewer computer say.. streaming without using streaming server. So, I don't think this will be a problem.

Still, any comment or suggestion for exisitng host. And review for power360.com ?

Yea, I would have to agree trying to find a host for that price is questionable but it can be found. If something goes down hill at least it will only be a couple of pages that you will have to upload. I personally would take the risk because their isn't to much to lose. Who knows they could be the best hosting provider you ever had.
