I need server & security management companies to contact me. I would like to have each of you in our records. Here are our requirement. We are a data center and will only do business with those we can hold accountable for work 3rd partied out to them.
1) You must be a
valid company. Minimum required DBA and voided check with your company name on it.
This means a lot of people here wouldnt be accepted. As much as I agree teens may know exactly what they are doing, we cant legally have a binding contract with anyone under 18 as we are bound by U.S. laws.
3) Must be able to take check or card payments, we don't pay by paypal.
4) Must be able to show at least 5 references whom we can call and verify.
5) Must be able to work hourly. Tell us your rate. We wont do monthly "standby" rates as anything you charge us would be passed on to our customer. We cant pass on standby or monthly rates.
6) Full contact info. We wont do tickets, we must have a phone number that gets answered 24x7.
7) Those willing to guarantee "immediate" action upon calls will get priority.
8) You must not be a web host or other data center.
9) Your username(s) on all the major hosting forums.
Now, on to the standards. Do not list multiple control panels or operating systems, only list your best combination of cp/op. While understandable you may know several, we want to be assured that we assign the correct problem to the correct company. If you list more than one of each, you wont be put in our records. We can assume that if you list, for example, Plesk/Windows, then any problem in such a combination that we may not be able to resolve, or may be too busy to get to quickly, can be easily resolved by you. Our aim is to use your services when required to keep our support service top notch.
About us- We are a private data center planning to open to the public. Until now, we have only provided services for emergency networks, government agencies, and select international corporations. As I have been in the hosting industry a very long time, I have watched others grow and do extremely well, others grow and fail, still others who grow too fast to properly keep up. Your services will help us prevent that from happening. We are not so naive to believe we know "everything". However, we are smart enough to have you in case of need
Keep in mind I will research each and every company that applies to us. While usually fun loving here in useless conversation, in business I am very serious. I will be looking for reasons not to list you with us. Obviously we want the absolute best for our clients and look to their best interests. If I find a single thread where I feel you have been unprofessional towards a customer of yours, you might not be listed. Especially if you have attempted to degrade them in public. While I certainly dont believe the customer is always right, I believe companies should always remain professional. I wont put my customers in a similar situation. If a customer is being unreasonable, we expect you to be 100% professional and notify us of the problem, and we will deal the issue. We are strict on this because you as a known 3rd party will be representing our services and support, and we wont allow a server support company to degrade us in such a manner, nor allow them to open us up to liabilty.
You will be listed on our website as 3rd party support companies. You will guarantee us a lower rate than if the customer went directly to you. This is because we prefer the customer to go through us to you so that we always know everything going on. It's also because sometimes we may have you do work where your charges may not be passed on to the customer. We also expect guarantees on work done. In other words, if you dont fix it, we dont owe, no matter the time spent. No "partial" fixes.
Keep in mind this is not written in stone. If you have an idea that could work out better, please pass it on to us. We will not open to the public for another 2-3 months. Right now we are simply preparing for the opening. Once we are ready, we will have a contract for you that includes privacy, security, and NDA clauses to which we will both be bound to in equal protection.
