Need someone to make permission changes on server

We have two servers, and would like to use one as a file server. I don't however know how to set up the permissions for this. I'm looking for a quote and timeline I can give to my boss. Ideally we would get this done today or tomorrow.

If you know PHP and can explain one or two things regarding it, this would be a big plus.

What kind of fileserver are you looking for?

I really don't know. I have 2 dedicated servers already, but don't know how to set the second up to be able to move files over to it when they are uploaded.

Are you looking to just setup a fileserver using FTP and having a single username and password to access it?

Jhorra,

Using an NFS mount over to the second server is what you need.

That way Apache/PHP can write files as they normally would, only the directory they are written to will be the NFS mount point for the second server, this way you can also serve files from your webserver as well.

I hope that helps.

That sounds great. I just have no idea how to do that. Would anyone be willing to do this? We would like to get it done quickly and are willing to pay.
