    * php, html, FrontPage, and Webalizer

Okay, I have recovered from my attempt to have php parse html pages. It was a unmitigated disaster. I really need some help in configuring the server to allow html pages to have embedded php code. I cannot change to php pages. What I need to do, is to access a database, either MySQL or MS Access, and retrieve inventory information, such as price, on hand quantity, and location.

I tried to modify the srm.conf file and httpd file. While I was able to do this and get embedded php code in html pages to execute, it broke the FP Server Extensions and Webalizer. I could not use FP and got a page cannot be displayed error in Webalizer.

I know that there must be a way to parse php code in html pages. I am open to any ideas.

Have you tried using a .htaccess file?
I've never tried to use it for PHP parsed HTML, but I've used it a lot for SSI in .html etc.,

I am not sure how to modify .htaccess. Can you provide an example or a site that documents that?
