Im looking for work! (Tech Support Level 1-2) / Junior

Hello, thank-you for taking the time to view this topic.

Please contact me if you have a part-time, "home-based" position along the lines of Tech Support, or general work.

I am 16, and live in North Yorkshire (United Kingdom) and looking for work within the webhosting area.

I have familiarity with the Internet and basic experience with LINUX and Windows (cPanel). I have fluent understanding of Email, of the World Wide Web and Web Hosting. English is my primary language. I have excellent typing and writing skills, including proper spelling and grammar. I am a positive, hard-working, focused and motivated person, complete with good communication skills. I own a laptop with a high speed internet connection which would obviously be required for me to carry out my role.

The type of job/s i would be looking to carry out;

*Live Chat Operator,
*Support Tickets,
*Support E-Mails,

And any other jobs you may require to be carried out. At this time i am unsure about the hours i would be able to work, but they would be after 4pm on a weekday (mon-fri), saturday and sunday i am flexible. This is due to me attending college. But we can negotiate the times.

Ideally i would like the pay to be on a "pay per resolved ticket" scheme, but for live chat and e-mails a hourly-rate would be suitable!

Also, (if possible) i would love the opportunity to recieve additional training, to make me more effective in my role. Most of my current knowledge is from self-study and the use of web-hosting companies.

So if you have any possible job vacancies that fit that critea, please reply to this topic or e-mail me at :

Many thanks,
Jamie Long.

  • Research any provider to know what limits are in place, especially with any offer concerning disk space and/or bandwidth. These are generally defined in the TOS or AUP.
  • Read provider reviews. If you find no reviews, create a thread and ask for others' first-hand experience with the provider.
