Hello,
I am looking for a VPS that would host 3 forums (around 100+ users on each at one time).
I am looking for:
Location: Europe
Budget: 130$ max
Bandwidth: 500GB+
Payment: PayPal if possible, but I can use CC.
I am looking for a company that will not mind hosting links to e.g. mp3 files (NO files hosted on the servers, ONLY links).

What kind of forums, how much do they rely on MySQL? I could see these forums taking up a fair bit of memory and for around or just above that price you could maybe get an ok dedicated with 1-2GB RAM.
Do you need a control panel, how much disk space are you after?

here is my topic on dedicated: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?t=611431
They do need quite a lot of memory. I think that 2GB is what they need at least.
Control panel.. well, it would be nice if there was something (DA preferred), but if not, then I think I will manage it myself.

A lot of VPS providers probably won't go up to providing 2GB guaranteed RAM, I don't think. DA shouldn't be a problem, it is fairly cheap to license with a VPS or Dedicated from your provider. I think your best off with a dedicated to be honest, up the budget to $150 and you may be able to get something.
Staminus will do an Intel Core 2 Duo 1.86 with 160GB hard drive and 1GB ram for $149 / Month. That includes 2000GB of bandwidth. For another $20 on top ($169 / Month) you can up that to 2GB RAM and have a nice system.
It may be worth it spending a little bit more to get a quality dedicated server, for example at Staminus - they've always been great for me and they have GREAT support! Also remember it's probably best to purchase something you can expand into, not just on your border line of resources

Hi eXc!t3,
Are you using vBulletin?
You have 100+ users online in 15 minutes avg or 1 minute avg (cookie limit)?
Can you check how much queries per second is the database receiving now?
If you aren't serving files do you really need 1TB of bandwidth?

Are these warez links and are these forums centered around warez?
Furthermore, 300 users at a time will not fit on a Dual Core, let alone VPS.
Apache and MySQL will drain RAM and CPU.

100+ users in 10 minutes and 100 users requesting at a time is very different.
I still don't think its suited for a VPS (suspension for CPU overuse is highly likely), but a low-mid range Dual Core will work out.

2GB RAM isn't really something most providers provide.
1GB RAM providers are already considered rare.
