Headsurfers Thread
Why can headsurfer post a thread and stick it on top of the lounge with the prefix "importance:"?
I don't see anything special about the thread, other than a few lines mentioning rackshack..
In my humble opinion its self promotion
He could have brought up the subject as a thread like anybody else...
Whats everyones opinion on this?0

I don't see sticky threads because I use "view new posts" exclusively.

Ok, it is a tad bit silly to have that one flagged important. Especially considering it is just spewing common sense, eh?

I agree with you.
But then again if I paid what he had paid for this place I would stick what ever I wanted where ever I wanted too.0

It was probably just a mistake. You know how it can be, you check all the boxes, click all the buttons, and pound the "any" key over and over again until it works...

I didn't get the impression that there was any self-promotion behind it. I think he was trying to hammer some stuff home to the poor cyberwings people.

You people make me laugh sometimes. The guy owns this site, he can do what he likes, simple as that.
If you don't like it that's your decision, but at the end of the day if headsurfer decides to post something and make it sticky it's his decision.Web Hosting since 19990

Well, I have to go along with edude.
It's not the point whether or not RS owns WHT or not. But, Robert has said on several occasions (of which I've always applauded him for) that WHT will remain as it was. That everyone would follow the same rules. Just because he owns the forum; doesn't make it right (no matter how trivial it may be). There is no best host. There is only the host that's best for you.0

What, just because he has the right to post his message the way he did, we don't have the right to gripe about it? Oh yeah, in truth we don't have the right since it isn't our forum! Ack (as Bill used to say).
Honestly, I don't think many people care, but it is still silly.<!-- boo! -->0

Gee whiz, it's hardly a hanging offence is it, one sticky thread.
The guy owns it, simple as that. He can do with it what he likes. If that results in people leaving (which I highly doubt) then be it on his head.Web Hosting since 19990

I agree that is should not be flagged, its not really important . Its just something that there are already 100 other threads on.
As for headsurfer doing what he wants becuase its his forum, phooey. This place is what it is today becuase you guys and all the members here. I dont care who owns, they should at least respect that and cater to the people that made and still make it what it is. Having said that, I dont think he has done anything yet to degrade the forum in any way so far.Greg Landis | Director of Growth Jaguarpc - Unlock Superior Hosting with JaguarPC

edude, many are starstruck by headsurfer, that much should have been obvious just by the first few responses in that thread praising the enlightening information presented.

Personally I don't care for the man in any way shape or form. My point is simply that this is his place, like it or not. Bleat all you like about it, but at the end of the day he owns it, and will (obviously) do what he likes with it.
Like it or lump it, comment all you like, I doubt he will change his style to make a few people happy with him. Somehow it seems that's just not his style.Web Hosting since 19990
