I've been working with Linux for just over 10 years now, with my first sysadmin job about 7 years ago. I've worked with Slackware, Debian, Red Hat, Fedora, OpenBSD, etc. Last May I got my B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, KS. Most of my experience has been in academia, but I have worked for a couple of webhosting companies in the past.
Right now I am located in Lawrence, KS, in the CDT time zone. I am seeking a full time job involving Unix/Linux System Administration and Support, preferably telecommuting in the USA - I am open to working on-site in Kansas City, however. I'm open to working any shift, but I'd prefer the daytime shift, on any day except Sunday (except emergencies, of course). I'm willing to carry a pager or cell phone for emergencies.
I have a MacBook computer (capable of running Linux and/or Windows XP if necessary) and a high speed Internet connection (along with a couple other ways of getting online in case of downtime). I'm willing to do phone support and strive to always be courteous towards customers, especially those who are least technically inclined, no matter what medium.
As far as salary goes, I'm willing to consider any reasonable offer.
My resume and references are available upon request. You can PM me or email
