Angry Pages loading slowly [Merged]

Is anyone else experiencing slow page loads on WHT?

Everything below where it says "advertisement" (at the top) is taking forever to load. And its not just new pages; pages that I've visited and refreshes.

And its not my Internet either because other inetinteractive and non-inetinteractive sites also load fast too.

Seems pretty fast from here.

Does it always do that for you?

Nope, just this morning.

It did do a similar thing sometimes in the past but it went away in 5 minutes or so. But I've been browsing for a while now hoping that it would just go away and that doesn't seem to happen.

I think I was a little shy of timeout, but my pages were loading really really slow this morning.

It is loading slow for me now,
but as my provider is performing maintenace on certain routes, it could be just my connection

Well its highly unlikely that ALL our providers are doing maintenance at the same time.

The webpage is taking atleast 5mins to load. Tracert timeout at rackpace.com. Been consistent for the past two days or more.

slowness in surfing WHT forum

Hi all, I experience slowness in surfing the WHT forum. I am wondering if others have experienced the same thing. Is this normal experience for most users?

Is it something to do with the DDOS prevention?

The first load always take very long. The subsequent page loads are fast but if I wait longer it reverts back to taking too long.

You need to rectify these or you are losing lot of new visitors.
