How many e-mails in your inbox?

How many e-mails does everyone have in their inbox?

Ive got 19300 in my inbox, none of it is spam. I delete that as soon as i get it.

    Ive also sent 5200 e-mails.

    Can anyone beat that?

Got 120MB of e-mails in my e-mail client.... nearly 30,000 e-mails received over the past 4 years of use I've sent about 9000 at my last count. All due to the games network I used to run, it's slowed down a bit now though

I clean my old messages out to often to compare.

Why would you ever want to keep an email from four years ago.

    Regards,
    Michael

You can use old e-mails incase you ever have to prove someone wrong, but I delete my mail once I'm done with it. I think I have 4 e-mails in mutt right now.

    Thank god for console clients.

I have only 54 messages in my Inbox.

But, I have 25 different folders in my email client. All messages don't go to just the Inbox. As I'm too lazy to count them all; I'll just say, "You win."

I clean mine every month or so and put them into folders.

Right now Inbox has 5698, Sent has 2690.

I am sure in all the folders there is another 10K or so.

So we finish the 18th and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know?" And he says, 'Oh, there won't be any money. But when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness.' So I got that goin' for me, which is nice." --Bill Murray Caddyshack

I rarely have more than 20 in my inbox at a time but I do keep all my email in folders in case i need them later.

Its saved my ass a few times when I needed to quote someone who was contradicting themselves!!

I have about 10,000 emails in total that I have received... sent about 1,000.

Just found this post... I'm wondering if this was developed from my "Microsoft Outlook" thread? Well as it says in the other thread, I've got slightly over 16,250 e-mails, all sorted in folders by domain name, company or person's name.

    19951 Total.

My backup folders Start in 1998 with very first message being 5-14-98 (when I started saving and backing up emails.)

    Inbox
    Outbox
    ....etc,etc
    Backups
    - 1998
    -- 05-98
    -- 06-98
    -- 07-98
    -- 08-98
    -- 09-98
    ----etc, etc
    - 1999
    -- 01-99
    -- 02-99
----etc, etc, and so on till current. I dont separate sent from recieved. All spam is cleaned out before I move emails to backups. Never know when you may need information from way back when. It happens occasionally with me. Makes me glad I have the backups.

Mine goes back to 11/00 and I've got 25,398 in my inbox.

What really baked my noodle is that one mailing list, whose inbox is a separate folder, has generated 5,399 incoming emails in a little over a year and a half. 80% of those since the first of the year.
