How's this for timing.
I just turned 28 (Feb 20th) all of 57 minutes ago, and now this will be my 500th post here. *yay*
It's looking to be a good day so far

Kunal,
No, I just play a 40 year old on TV. I'm not sure if that's a compliment or not, so I'll just take it as one *chuckle*

Hey, my birthday was just back on the 7th, and I've been here for months. But this is nowhere near my 500th post, because I only post when I have something very important to say.

Jay, you and your posts have distinguished themselves for their contribution to the topics, regardless of the number of them you make.
I see so much discussion on UBB and vb boards about the number of posts and membership levels, that I have begun to think of this feature as a drawback rather than a benefit. It should be obvious that the quality of a member's posts is important. The quantity is meaningless.
In extreme cases, this can even lead to arrogance and class distinction. A prime example of this is dmoz (Netscape's Open Directory Project). It's unfortunate that so many major search engines use them as the organization is riddled with arrogant, over bearing, smug and insufferable snobs who seem to think that knowledge begins with one becoming a category editor and increases as one attains a higher level.
Anyone can make a contribution to a discussion, regardless of how often or how infrequent they may post.
