Recommended a Dedicated for a blog

The blog I have gets a decent amount of traffic a day and I plan to get more. The shared I'm with handles it pretty well but I'm looking to moving to a dedicated pretty soon. Since it's a blog it doesn't use that much bandwidth, any recommendations?

Have you look at a 1/2 way house of a VPS at all?

Check out the dedicated hosting offers in this forum, even an lower cpu can handle your blog and it is better compared to VPS because if your blog grow, you don't have to worry upgrading on cpu and ram.

Just my little advice.

Linux and Windows are operating systems.

Celeron and Pentium 4's are made by Intel, and are the "brain" of the computer. Using Linux or Windows makes no difference for Celeron's and Pentium 4's.

You should be fine with a basic Pentium 4 for your blog.

You might want to consider somebody to manage that server for you. With shared hosting this is not an issue, but when you have your own server it is important that things are patched all the time.

No. Just like a Viper and a Charger are not the same thing, even though they are both made by Dodge

Different models, different characteristics and different speeds.

Intel architecture available today, from slow to fast:
Celeron, Pentium4, Xeon, Conroe

Note that this does not say anything about clock speed yet. A 10Ghz celeron might still be faster than a 1Ghz Conroe You'll need to search for reviews about the processors to find out which one exactly is faster than the others.

AMD doesn't manufacture hard disk drives...

Frankly speaking, no offence, by judging the questions asked, I strongly suggest you to take fully managed servers.

I consider your blog is very successful to be able to be hosted on its own server. Keep up the good work in blogging, don't make your visitors run away just because the server is not properly managed and it goes down frequently.

Thanks and all the best!
