We are doing a website for a law firm and they have offered to review and make "legal" changes to our contract. How many of you have done this? Have you ever had a lawer to review / make changes to your contracts? I think this is a very wise decition.

Yeah its very wise thing to do, though, I would be weary of the them doing it as they are clients of yours.

I dunno, I just dont trust lawyers I guess. lol.

I think phearstudios is right: while barter sounds nice, it's probably best to keep clients and suppliers distinct from one another.

I never exchange services like that with clients, I think it is wise to keep them separate.

The laywer has much more to lose if they mess with you as there are many avenues for you to obtain redress if they do something wrong.

In addition, the contract would certainly NOT cover their dealings with you completely as payments etc would be via barter.

It is a good idea to have your contracts written by a lawyer. Take the offer if you don't need the cash from the deal. It will pay off in the long term. I too don't like barter payments but this is one that could be very valuable for you long term.
