Thumbs down Beware of IIC Internet ( irriserv) Capital One

These people, IIC Internet ( irriserv), charge $4.95 per month for hosting services. And they charge $4.95 per month, sometimes for only 20 or so days for hosting services. You tell them you don't want their services anymore, close my account, etc. and the next month, on your credit card is another charge for $4.95. And then again the next month.
Tried to reason with the credit card company Capital One to block these charges. They will not.
Tried to close Capital One credit card account. they won't do so unless you have a zero balance for 30 days. Paid account to zero, asked to close the account and then within the 30 days here comes another irriserve $4.95 charge that I didn't approve. Now I don't have a zero balance. I refuse to pay the irriserv $4.95 bill from Capital One, so they add a late fee of $29.00. It goes on and on.
Now I get collection calls from Capital One. They accept no reasoning, will not charge back to irriserv.
Between a rock and hard place. Avoid both companies

That's crap!

Capitol One are talking bull my friend, if you tell Capitol One that this company is making unauthorized and fraudulent requests for money that you did not authorize then Capitol One is obliged to act and stop any further monies being taken by your host.

I suggest you call Capitol One and demand they take action to stop these payments being taken and demand that they refund any monies that have been taken fraudulently, I would suggest you also put this in writing to them and send the letter via registered mail.

You may like to also tell them if they refuse to act you will file a complaint of fraud with your local law enforcement agency

File Formal Complaint With OCC!

Capital One Bank N.A. is a national bank and falls under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Office of the Controller of the Currency(OCC). Consider filing a formal "written" complaint. Make sure to send it via certified mail. The OCC will assign a case no. to your complaint, and an OCC agent will contact you and the bank to attempt to resolve the issue. It may take 1-2 months. Your complaint becomes a permanent record against the bank. In my experience, most banks will resolve the issue in your favor when the OCC intervenes.

Do they have a cancellation clause? Does it have to be presented in writing, then faxed? Sometimes companies make you jump through hoops before you can cancel.

I'm sure that Visa/Mastercard (depending on the type of card you have) would also be there to help you out. Customer protection is taken very seriously, as without it, the whole concept of the credit card would be doomed.

I think you have misinterpreted my words.

My statement "That's crap" was meant in the vein of sympathy of the way you have been treated, in that it is crap that they have treated you the way they have.

Also I have been through the same situation as you in the past but seeing as my primary profession is one of consultant advocate I was aware of the legalities of the situation and my credit card issuers legal responsibilities toward me there customer.

Have you bothered to call us?

This seems a bit outside the norm. I hightly doubt that this customer picked up the phone between 8A and 5P M-F and requesed a refund and did not get it. I am not sure who you are but I can tell you this is not something we like to see happen. Call us and we will get it taken care of for you. 888-524-7336

I would like to express my own experience.

I have wrote to IIC 40 days ago by using online form but they did not reply single **** to me. During these 40 days, I have wrote 3 times to them, and the latest is by direct mail 5 days ago.

The story is like this:
My Uncle's Credit Card has been charged by IIC every month. My Auntie knows that, this should be her son aka my cousin, who has passed away 2 YEARS ago due to cancer. Recently my aunt found out this problem and ask me to cancel the account subscription. I dunno my cousin's account but I have given them the billing Reference Number. However, IIC did not reply any single **** although I have been writing again and again describing the same thing to them.

I dunno what else I can do. Anyone who is available here please help me. Thank you.

My aunt has been giving IIC money for more then 2 years !!
