Would like to know if any one can tell me a good avg # of users for 2 types of systems.

Both same hardware.

Dual 800Mhz 512 Mb ram PC 133 bus full scsi 160 drives.

Now one has running Windows 2000 Server the other has Redhat 7.0 with Plesk installed for Web Sites.

I know the Redhaat server will hold more but looking for a good same # maybe something you have done or at now and are having no problems or slow downs.

I have heard in the 100's for the NT's system but I don't want to push as every on knows how Windows is.

Thanks for your help. And any help is great thanks.

The max I would suggest on NT/Win2k is 512 or 2 classes, but that is pushing it.

For linux, you can have over 1000, but that doesn't mean you should do it.

It depends. There are websites which use ASP, that would run only on a NT system. Different scripts put different load on the processor. I dun think you can out an estimate as such.

# of sites on NY

I wouldn't recommend more than 300 sites running ASP on even a Dual PIII with NT or Win2k, you'll want your customers happy not displeased with the slow response time of the server.
