    Well here is mine.

Notice the taskbar :-) very useful way of placing icons, but can be hard to get used to.

I had to do a little "housecleaning" of all my desktop icons. It's sure easy to let them clutter up the scenery .

    Mr Simplicity over here....
can you believe this desktop is 12 Months old!!!!

    My Desktop

On a Windows Box, that's shocking news!!!

(you need to take a look at the "my documents" folder though, the junk most people collect on their desktops, on my computer collects in there!!)

I strongly believe in the sweep under the carpet method of existance

By the way, just reinstalled my system a couple of week ago. Usually there's no space for extra icons.

http://www.toastyx.net/screenshots/desktop.png -- ...my plain, boring old desktop. I use Window Maker which is a window manager for the X Window System under Linux, so there's no icons. I start programs through a menu that I've created which comes up when I right-click the desktop, and I do all file management on the console, so yes, there's a mess, but it's hidden.

Just because I never got around to updating it yet. I only use it for local testing anyway, so it's not really my top priority.

C'mon, no one running LiteStep? I thought for sure someone would be and we'd get a zillion "what os is that?!" posts.

I used to but the shinyness wore off.

I used to run LiteStep up until about a year ago when my primary HD crashed. Since then I haven't gotten around to using it again. Awhile back ago I tried checking up on it, but seems like the LiteStep community has been slowly been disappearing. I dunno... maybe because litestep.net hasn't been updated in a long time and a lot of the old shell websites I used to frequent have either gone off in the sunset or havn't been updated in some time. Ah well... maybe I'll get back to it again... it was a great shell replacement.

Lets not get in a debate over whether KaZaA or other P2P programs are moral or not. Start your own thread for that...
