Hey,

I just started getting the message "No operating system installed" on XP.

The computer stops on bootup for a long time then the message shows.

I have tried looking in my bios and it is only showing a CD/DVD writer, doesnt look like any hard disk is showing up.

This just happened so I'm not sure whats wrong.

Its on an advent laptop.

Anyone know what it can be?

Sounds like major hardware failure. Is there any information on it that you need?

Yep its my work laptop with about a months worth or accounts, records and a lot of new files for my sites, I have been backing up monthly.

I have been trying to get you on MSN by the way, can I PM you on WHT?
