Question

Speaking if Emerging Technologies...

topic: slingbox

What do you know about them? From what I've heard, you can sort of just plug it in and then watch your tv from anywhere in the world. It cant be that simple is it? How long do you figure it will take for the television providers to cry foul?

Edit: whoops, I put "if" instead of "of" in the title

I see the company has made moves to try to gain the MAC marketplace. On April 30th and May1 of 2007 alone, they received alot of reviews around the industry on there move to bring the service to Mac users.

If this technology and service hit the mainstream, I'm sure it would become a problem. It would be as if I extended my T.V's cable to the next door neighbors house and allowed them to plug it into there living room television set without having to get cable service themselves. I see alot of problems in the future for this service in my opinion, however, needless to say this seems like a service that would be great if it last

I find they are really useless, I just use orb, and I can stream my music, movies, pictures, tv to anywhere I want, I can watch it on my pda or in China, and its free.
