[Wanted] Fix For BIND Problem on cPanel DNS Only

Hello,

We have 2 dedicated DNS servers which need some tweaking and fixing. They are both running cPanel DNS only.

The named.conf file on both servers automatically reverts Master DNS zone entries to Slave DNS zone entries with no master, causing Named on the server to be corrupt, and giving an error upon "service named restart". The DNS zones should be Master zones.

Also, when DNS zones are removed from the webservers, sometimes they are not removed from the DNS servers and require manual removal. If for instance I was to terminate a cPanel account on a webserver, the zone would be gone from that server but may still exist on one of the DNS servers. When I try to add the account again, I get an error saying the domain already exists on the DNS cluster. Generally the .db files are deleted from /var/named, but the named.conf file is not updated.

Finally, the DNS servers are blank servers with an out-of-the-box cPanel DNS only installation. I'd be happy to pay for any necessary hardening on the 2 DNS servers.

Please understand that this is an important job which must be done correctly. I am not looking for someone who will experiment too much on these live servers but rather someone with knowledge and experience. This problem needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Someone with MSN Messenger who will talk me through the whole thing and give me updates every few minutes would be even better.

If you are interested please PM me stating when you can do it and your price. You will get a reply if your offer is accepted.
