tomcat user questions

Hi,

first of all I am a beginner. So I know quite nothing about JSP/servlets/tomcat.

claros . org

Well, within the installation txt it says:

Fast Instructions:
-------------------------------------------------------
Demo Only (HSQLDB):
1. Copy claros.war into webapps directory on Tomcat
2. Start Tomcat
3. Edit the WEB-INF/config/config.xml file, follow the instructions.
4. Restart tomcat

Production System:
1. Have your DB installed on your system and create a new database called claros.
2. Run the appropriate query in the SQL directory.
4. Copy claros.war into webapps directory on Tomcat
5. Start Tomcat
6. Edit the WEB-INF/config/config.xml file, follow the instructions.
7. Restart tomcat

I have a shared hosting account at qoozz and according to the support the server which hosts me is "tomcat enabled". I only have CPanel for basic configuration, no ssh access, but only f t p

Well on my ftp´s there´s actually an empty WEB-INF directory.

Coming to that installation.txt:

<1. Copy claros.war into webapps directory on Tomcat

First problem, where is that webapps directory. There´s noone on the f t p

<2. Start Tomcat
yes tomcat restart would be great. But I have no ssh access. Within CPanel there´s no way to load the *.war file. Nothing with tomcat.
So no way to load the war, restart the server, like at ****

>3. Edit the WEB-INF/config/config.xml file, follow the instructions.
Well, I did.

>4. Restart tomcat
The problem is, how?

Support told me: "We have installed the test servlets to your account/domain earlier and it should work. If it doesn't, illustrate to us what you're trying to do and also lead us to the error page."

I also unpacked the *.war file and uploaded it to my space and just pointed to it but nothin goes

It would be great if someone could say some words

thanks in advance
Kin
