    Question Centos grub.conf not found !?

    Hello ,
    I was tring to upgrade my kernel and after installing new kernel i tried to select kernel but i was unable to find grub.conf file ! /boot/grub/grub.conf

    If you're looking for the file with kernel options try /boot/grub/menu.lst or launch grub and set it to boot the new kernel once.

    Boot to rescue mode, mount /boot, and check for grub.conf. If it is not there, try to recreate it or find a backup.

    Actually check /boot is mounted itself before rebooting?

    how can i recreate grub.conf without any reboot ?

    what is this command are doing ?
    grub-install ?
