I've posted this request in the past, but I never seem to get serious replies. People either agree to do the work but then never write back, or offer drafts that aren't even in the ballpark of what I'm looking for. I'm offering $300; this is a serious request aimed at serious designers.

Request:
Design for an entertainment news website. Should feature a homepage design and a template for content.

Specific Needs:
Designed, sliced into editable PSD files and coded in HTML. If it can be done as a WordPress 2 theme, that would be GREATLY preferred (and I'd be willing to pay a little extra for that).

I also need a logo to use for the header (which you'd design) and promotional graphics (which you would not need to design).

Fee:
$300

If you are not capable of designing to that caliber, please DO NOT apply.

*We would greatly appreciate if you could provide a (very) rough draft before contracting to do the job, especially if you seek a down payment. Since very few designers actively produce entertainment news layouts, your portfolio, while helpful in showing off your skill level, won't necessarily give us all the information we need about your ability to complete the job. We're not interested in stealing your work - do whatever you need security-wise to feel comfortable sharing the rough draft.

I'm aiming to have a completed design by Sunday.

Think what you are asking:

Logo
Website psd and coded+ full rights
Wordpress skin

Medium to high quality.
Draft before getting the job.
And you need it for yesterday.

A serious designer never would work within this price range, just indian guys or kids work at this rates... and my experience is cheap become expensive.

If you are really serious about this site I would raise the budget.

I just wanted to clarify my previous post... I have nothing against indian guys because of his race, I have hired companies from India and it was a nightmare... just my personal experience... surely there will be indian companies doing a excelent work.

That is still very much racially profiling indians as a whole. Next time you want to insult someone, insult the companies themselves, not indians as a whole. It's extremely degrading to many designers who are of that ethnicity.
