Details guideline, recommended changing DNS after office or at weekend because of the DNS propagation. Mostly the next day the DNS should be resolved. Lastly, you may continue do domain registrar transfer process, if necessary

One note from the voice of experience. Do the backup as noted and have a copy in several places as suggested. The one thing I failed to do was CHECK the backup copies to make sure all files weren’t corrupted. Turns out that somehow during the downloading process for the backup, the files were corrupted and trashed. Image the horror when I saw what I had when I finished restoring the website at the new hosting. Luckily I was able to revert to my original files when I created the webpage and restore the site at my new hosting as it should be. Looking back I remembered that I downloaded my files with a new FTP application and because it worked so well, took it for granted I had a good backup. VERIFY! VERIFY! VERIFY!

Nice Tutorial!
If you steal from one author, it’s plagiarism; if you steal from many, it’s research
