- Automated server reboots
- Set up reverse DNS records
- Real time bandwidth graphs and tables
- Monitor your server's services such as FTP, HTTP, POP3, SMTP, DNS and more
- Alerts of any server issues sent instantly via email and SMS to your mobile phone
- Connect a KVMoIP to your server automatically

Where are these servers hosted?
We host these Dell PowerEdge servers in our London Docklands facilities. We have over 60 racks here, and importantly we have an office on the 5th floor of the data centre. We have four staff onsite during office hours - this enables us to have the fastest response time possible for support requests.

Our network connectivity
We choose our connectivity partners with exacting requirements, and we know how important our decisions are to our clients. Currently we have 50,000mbits of network connectivity including Level3, Tiscali, Deutsche Telekom, and LINX, AMSIX, and LonAP. We have over 200 peering sessions set up on UK exchanges. We use the latest generation Cisco hardware to host some of the most bandwidth-intensive clients in the UK.

We have limited stock of this offer, so act early to reserve yours. You can order by emailing Paul on sales@49pence.com or telephoning on 08700 49 49 49.

Hi,

How many ips do these servers come with? How much for extra ips? Do you have any ddos protection in place? Do you allow IRC/VPS to run on your serves? How is bandwidth counted? in+out, just out?

Thanks in advance,

Eugenio,

1. IP addresses - as many as required, subject to RIPE guidelines.
2. No IRC, sorry.
3. VPS are fine.
4. Bandwidth is in+out.
5. DDoS protection in place.

Thanks!

That's a good question.

Additionally, I'd like to know when a better processor will become available at 49pence, as the Xeon 3040 is not the latest nor the greatest, and at ~$223 USD/mo, this is a bit steep for that processor. We're looking for a Xeon 3060. Any idea when you will begin to offer this popular processor? Your Dell chassis will hold a 3060, you just need to stock them.

Thanks.

JD

They have an option to upgrade to 3060 in their order form. Just check that out.

That would be nice, but that is incorrect. The only processor they list with Core 2 Duo Architecture is the Xeon 3040, there is no 3060 option on the order form at URL http://myservers.49pence.com/DedicatedQuote.aspx. The next step up is Core 2 Quadro Architecture, which is priced outside of my budget, too. It looks like even if 49pence carried the 3060, based on their pricing for the 3040, that it would still be priced outside of my budget, considering that the 3040 ideally configured per my requirements is 114.00 GBP ($225.515 USD).

If/When 49pence stocks the 3060 with 1x250GB HDD and 2GB RAM for $200 or less per month, then I will immediately sign-up with them.

Thank you.

JD
