Secure my server from DoS attacks

Need someone experienced in DoS protection.
I have Linux server that gets flooded with hundreds of Apache requests and server becomes un-operational (cannot even SSH to it).
This is due to DoS attack on httpd server.
I have APF with AntiDos installed, but it is not helping.

Need someone who knows and familiar with this kind of issue to contact me for possibility of helping me. Either PM and or tell me here how much you would charge me. Thank you

I'd be happy to review the attack and setup my custom DDoS protection script what intergrates with APF. Please email me if the attack is still happening - sales AT serverprogress.com

Anyone can stop a server from being an agent in a DrDOS, but can you actually STOP a DNS attack towards your box? I think not.

Technically, that's not advertising, just offering to help. Now, if he had given a URL in the post, then yes it would be advertising. Indirectly, it is, but back to the issue at hand. Make sure your DNS server isn't a recursive one, and you will need to reconfigure Apache to use less resources. You could also try rate-limiting requests. Let us know how it works out.
