Greetings... I don't know the original poster at all, but since I've posted numerous logo requests (and have had great success), I thought I'd share something with you all.
In his/her request, it was requested that proofs be posted here for a review. That is usually what I ask for as well. It doesn't help when people and companies post things like "See my portfolio for samples" or "Email me if I can help you".
I've been around WHT long enough to see how things have declined. I'm not picking on anyone in particular, but it just seems that if responders took the time to answer the post as requested, it would save a lot of unnecssary reading, etc.
Just my 2 cents for what its worth. Okay, maybe they're only worth a penny!
Anyway, good luck with your logo allustrious. There are plenty of good folks here who can provide you with one.
Sometimes this place really kills me. No wonder this particular forum has been going downhill. Here we have the original poster requesting that all entries be submitted here. Some do, some don't. Personally, if I had started this thread, I wouldn't even consider replies that simply directed me to a portfolio. My thought would be "Can't you follow simple directions??" Yet after more than a week of not updating in his own thread, allustious announces he's gone with someone who hasn't even complied with the basic contest rules he set out. And worse, the winning logo is not even displayed.
I don't bother with these logo contests anymore because they've become a joke. But I certainly know that if I had wanted to, I would be a little ticked off if I spent some time in the last few days coming up with a design, only to find that allustrious is already getting one done outside of this thread .
IMHO, a total mockery of what a good logo contest should be...
