    Laptops only here... can't stand desktops - I need desk space

    heh, I was going to say the same thing

    I prefer a desktop, because the one time I had a laptop (well, that I used regularly) the only good I saw in it was that I could lay in bed all day and not have to even get up to move to my desk.. which may not have been a good thing, since now I'm lazy as hell.

    I prefer the *thought* of doing everything on a laptop, but sadly I need the raw grunt of a desktop to do what I need to do.

    My laptop has enough grunt for everything I need to do, although with only 16mb shared video memory - games are a bit of a challenge.

    It's a Pentium III 1.1ghz w/256mb ram and 18.6gb HDD so it runs just fine.

    It depends on what you do. If you're doing video development I'd recommend a desktop; if you're just typing and having fun with photoshop or doing just about anything else, a labtop works.

    Labtops are cool when they work (but isn't everything...)!
