Just an update -- we've carefully considered some of the issues a number of you have E-mailed us about (particularly in terms of the slim profit margins in the radio hosting industry) and in response to your concerns, we've adjusted our prices to hopefully better meet your needs as ShoutCast hosts.

Is there a way to schedule certain MP3 to a certain hour? For exameple every hour I want a new show (new mp3) to start streaming, when it finishes, I want a custom playlist to fill up the space until next hour comes and a new scheduled show starts.

This is the main feature missing on Centova Cast, is there any stimative date when this could be included in the next version?

What you're looking for is an auto-DJ system for your streaming source. Centova Cast is a streaming server control panel (for ShoutCast/IceCast), whereas a streaming source is a totally separate application (eg: ices, sc_trans, oddcast, etc.)

While we do offer limited support for running a source on the server machine, the playlist management system currently just offers basic editing functionality. As with any ShoutCast/IceCast server, though, you can use any streaming source you like -- you're not required to use Centova Cast to manage your playlist.

We currently have an AJAX-based playlist editor in development that's near completion, and once that's done we'll be looking at building some kind of auto-DJ system directly into Centova Cast. We don't yet have an ETA on this as our present focus is on integrating Centova Cast with a few billing systems (ModernBill, etc.) It's our next priority after billing integration, though!

Just an update -- modules are now available to integrate Centova Cast with both ModernGigabyte's ModernBill and iHostDev's iHost billing software.

Stream provisioning can now be completely automated using either one of these billing products. You can grab the latest version of Centova Cast from centova.com.
