It's a post! Welcome!

Actually, you can edit your message editor in "Profile" > "Options"

Scroll down until you get to the message editing options and select: Simple, Advanced, or WYSIWYG editors.

The vbcode option is probably set by the administrators.

I can't post anything with multiple paragraphs. I am not using VB code, yet it won't let me. I may just post five posts here to see if it will let me do it. I've been trying for 20 minutes. Very frustrating.

I did that. I am not a newbie to forums. I also can't PM a moderator to ask.

It is set to simple. All other features turned off too. Is there a delay for the database to recognize this. It says VB is still enabled.

All vB code is those [] type tags you can use. That doesn't have anything to do with paragraph formatting really.

You shouldn't really have an issue with posting paragraphs/sections.

I do. I'm typing straight text in the interface with nothing added and it won't let me post. I am not a spam robot. I'm in the flesh. Please let me in Por Favor!

Post number 5. I am trying to post in another forum thread but can't. This is the inappropriate forum to do that. I want to report a host company down and inquire about their status.

Sorry to spam you guys. Changing the settings simply wasn't working. I even logged on/off multiple times to see if that was the issue. I finally got my message in the appropriate forum. The message is about a web host company down and our reseller account is totally down for all customers. Whew! 40 minutes here to get one paragraph out. It's been one of those days.

Here's the message:

Once again, sorry for the spam.

Ted

ah, well websitegurus that is more than likely because I believe it's a minimum post count of 5 posts to use any of our advertising boards for posting of new threads. So, no it wasn't an issue of vB code or anything of that nature. You simply hadn't had enough posts yet.

Thank you. All is well, I got my post up after the required 5. I noticed you moved this to feedback. Since you did, I thought I would let the moderators and site admins know that the screen presented to me was telling me that VB code needed to be disabled. It didn't mention anything about requiring 5 posts to put a message up in the advertising board. The comment specifically said to disable VB. I did. I disabled all bells and whistles in my profile. Bare bones setup. I logged off and then back on. The VB enabled icon was still there in the lower left corner.

If there are specific boards that are inaccesible by newbies, if it's doable, you might change the message at the top of the page to read something different.
Thanks for the quick input when I was first posting.

Ted
