Can anyone tell me which network/upstream provider is used by ServerBeach.com ? Are they reliable ? Any downsides for them ? Please advise.

I offered to buy 8 servers from them all at once if they would throw in some IP addresses for free and they wouldnt do it. If you ask me that seems kind of petty.

Yikes...you think buying 8 servers at one time they would do anything to get your business and just give you IP addies. Did they give a reason?

I have considered purchasing a few servers from them, but the downside as I see it is that they tack on too many little fees. They are clearly trying to avoid providing excessive support (which is to be expected by an unmanaged server provider), however, personally I would do so by providing a clear policy of what is a valid support issue (such as hardware problems), and not charge extra per event.

Well i was only asking for like 25-30 IP addresses at the most, they said the reason they wouldnt do it is because it takes man power to create and add all the IP addresses. I told her that it only takes a few minutes and that i would be responsible for loading them into the servers. The sales person didnt even try to make a deal, she wouldnt budge so i walked away. They need to realize there are many fish in the sea and that going with them at this point in their short life would be going out on a little bit of a limb.

Hi guys, I just ran into this thread... lemme straighten somethings out...
1) We do not have any Cogent bandwidth. We wouldn't be able to meet our 99.9% network uptime SLA if we used them. ServerBeach is 100% Cogent-free.
2) We do not have any "special deals" - what you see is what you get. With the overall volume that we're moving, 8 servers is way below our threshold to break the mold. If pricing comes down, it'll be available on the web site.
3) We have a commitment in providing great customer service.
Technical Support is a different matter. Normally it would make sense to quantify what it is we do and don't do - However, at this time we do not offer any Technical Support. This will change in the future as we gear up that part of the business.
4) Reboots - we are a small company and we try our best to do things quickly. Things will improve shortly, we have a plan.
With all that said, ServerBeach has been growing by leaps and bounds - we're doing better than we had ever anticipated! Thanks to everyone for making ServerBeach such a huge success.

You cant tell me people are offering to buy more than 8 servers from you on a daily basis from 1 customer. if you guys are getting these kind of customers great, but at least you know now what made me walk away from you.

Sounds like they either have loads of customers buying more servers than you goodness2001 or they just can't afford all the hardware costs (with their no setups plans) and you buying 8 servers, in which case you may want to choose somewhere else that has the established network, growth capital and technical support at no extra cost to you. You may also want somewhere that has APC reboot if their reboot speeds are slow.
Personal recommendations:
eServers.bix
tranxactglobal.com
smartwebservice.com
You may want to email all three of these companies to see what they can offer you for 8 servers (I know smartweb 5 or more gets a discount and 10 or more with tranxact gets you a discount)
Also, all three of these companies have free ips with justification for ARIN.

serverbeach's server connection is good
but not the technical support.
however, they do work on July 4 (a holiday!!) and helped me a lot on my server problem . I believe they will become better and better in the near future .

Serverbeach is located in an ex-rackspace datacenter. Serverbeach is not Rackspace...
